Since 1648 this winery combines history, culture and innovation. Producing wines following ancient knowledge and traditions, they reflect the genuineness and authenticity of their land. The estate is sustainability-certified thanks to the respect for the environment in the vineyard management and during the winemaking process.

Tenuta di Angoris is spread over 600 hectares, of which 90 are vineyards on the 3 main zones of Friuli Venezia Giulia Region: DOC Isonzo, DOC Collio and DOC Friuli Colli Orientali.

These different terroirs enable the winery to produce very different wines, which are all combined by a unique style characterized by elegance, harmony, richness and persistence.

Sip after sip, you will be thrilled by the long, fascinating and mysterious history of Angoris, which was visited by great personalities over the centuries, as well as movie set for unforgettable films such as “A Farewell to Arms”, and also hosted a military hospital during the First World War in the majestic Villa Locatelli, the heart of the estate.

In 1648, Tenuta di Angoris was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire under Ferdinand III, who bestowed this land upon Locatello Locatelli, his war general that distinguished himself during the Thirty Year’s War. Since then, the estate was always belonged to the Locatelli Family, besides a short period between 1930 and 1960, and has always produced wine, experimenting and understanding over the centuries the potentialities of the vines in the different estate’s terroirs.

Besides the precious autochthonous grapes, international varieties such as Merlot and Chardonnay find the perfect land in Friuli Venezia Giulia Region to achieve excellent quality wines.
